Here are the videos that we have produced to help us learn the vocabulary for Lesson 1 of the Basic Spoken Nepali Course. Please visit the main page for information and instructions for these videos. Please note that we have produced these to learn ourselves, and happy to share with anyone else following the course 🙂 Of course use the sound files provided by the actual course (all for free!) for native speaker pronunciation!! All links to the original materials and sound files for the course are on our main page link above. Vocab for each video below.
We have also retyped the vocab list and conversations, and colour coded them so that you can clearly see which words in the conversations are pronouns, verbs, nouns, adjectives etc. Because in Nepali pronouns, nouns and verb endings change depending on the subject and with who, when, and with what the subject is doing, it makes it very difficult for the beginner to know which word corresponds to which English word. Colour coding helps you to build your own sentences, as you will easily know which word to substitute. Here is the pdf of our colour coded version for lesson 1: Basic Course Nepali Colour Coded Lesson 1 Vocab and Conversations-21qwqac
